Amplifier for 2 10" L7's? (600-800 watts)

I'm looking for a good quality amp to power two 10" L7's in a ported enclosure. Somewhere between 600 and 800 watts shoud fit the bill. Who makes solid, high quality amps for this?

The amps are mounted in the pre-fabbed Kicker box, with a total 4 ohm impedance. (kinda high, not sure why they did it that way)

I'm thinking about opening it up and re-wiring the box to a lower impedance.

Since the box is 4 ohms total, and assuming they're dual voice coil subs, that means they would have to be 4-ohm DVC each.

I could re-wire those to 1 ohm instead of 4 and open up my amp choices quite a bit.

The other scenario is that they're single 8-ohm drivers wired in parallel to 4 ohms, which would **** but I have never heard of an 8 ohm solobaric. Also, I don't have room for 2 sub amps, I need space for my front-stage amp as well and it's a small truck.
