ample audio or PPI?

Looking for an inexpensive amp for my girlfriend's car for a valentines day present

(found her a JL 10w0 in a box for cheap so need an amp

PPI and Ample Audio I know are perfectly solid...

both $60 in my hands

which should I pick?

both are ~300 RMS

if going with ppi, you should stay away from stuff made after '99, so go with ppi art series, pc series which old school.

i run the pc2350 on my subs. amazing amp. you won't find art or pc series ppi stuff for cheap, for a good reason. best i've owned to date.

I am using two new PPI amps and no problems. Wery solid and very clean. I don't see any reason to stay away from them.

then you haven't heard and compare to the old school ppi amps. i been waiting to get a pc2350 myself, the biggest amp of the last series before they dove down, i have 3 1200.2 arts myself but been eyeing on a 2350.

lex, don't be hasty to buy something cheap and regret later on, gather up a few dollars and buy a better quality amp.

I have personally never heard of Ample amps. The art series PPI are by far the best of the series and then the black series but they did make other really good amps. I have always tried to stay away from the solid chrome series (they run warm) and the newer stuff that was not made in the US.

ample supposedly was started by a crossfire designer and I always loved old crossfire stuff. They seem to use Crossfire and Soundstream heatsinks.. hmm lol
