amp went into protect?!

I was setting my gains etc with a DMM went to turn gain up and my amp protects... Speakers were unplugged etc. leads did NOT touch I cannot understand why this happeneD? never happened before...

Does that DC have internal fusing? If so check them maybe one is half blown. Also check the voltage at the amp

Amplifier is fine bro... I run this thing all day with zero problems it was something to do with the DMM or some **** I just dont know how amplifier is BRAND new and has been nothing but perfect since day one... First time its every protected, well except when I first got it and one of my subs wasnt hooked up right so it was seeing some weird ohm.

Does it go into protect constantly or just that once? And if it's that shitty yellow dmm you're using I think maybe it's cause that thing is messed up lol

Just that once lmfao and it was the ****** yellow one you're not talking about my BIG sears one right? I forgot which one we used... cause if I used the dirty big yellow ont hat was $300 and works great.

Yeah that big yellow one dunno which brand it was but when you touched the leads together to measure the impedance I remember the thing was flipping out lol

That doesn't mean it's a ****** DMM lol. That big yellow one is a better DMM than any you'll ever buy. Chances are it was windy and my fingers were touching the terminals it was like a .4-.5 resistance, that's actually pretty normal. and its a SEARS brand was like the original DMM.

The one I used to do this was likea $20 walmart DMM lol.

Hell no it went into protect I took the lead out turned the HU off then on and it worked fine after plugged my subs back in played fine... I know for a fact my amp isnt shorted. I'm just trying to to figure out wtf happened.
