big dong: technically they say you need a jl 1000/1 for each 12 to power them sufficiently, but I don't know about that. The JL amp might not have enough power to power them them both well, but I am sure it would do a pretty good job about it unless you really wanted to spend all that extra money and then be over powering the shit out of them. At any rate I have an Xtant X1001 with a LFQ module and I am bottoming the shit out of my 2 10s at bass 0 and sub 2 on my eclipse head unit (bass goes up to 6 and sub goes up to 16) on any bass song (like bass mechanics) and the amp is only set at a little over half. So I think that amp would probably easily power 2 12s and its clean as can be too.

1200.1 will give it 1800 watts or so at 1.5 ohm

the amp will only put out like 1250 or 1300 at 1.5 ohms..the manual says it doesnt put out more power 1 ohm than 2 ohms. but jbl is little underrated

I could be wrong, but I thought the jbl 1200 puts out the same watts at 1ohm that it does at 2 ohm (1200)

Yes, it is rates 1200 but it is a bit underrated...kottonmouth is closest on this one...

yea, that's what I've heard, I was going to get mine tested but the local shop said they didn't have anything to bench it with
