Amp turn-on wire size/ guage?

I can't seem to find either a recommended wire size/ guage, or current draw, for amp remote turn-ons.

How do you all know what size wire to use? And what size fuse?

I doubt this is too big a deal for turning on just one amp, but what if you have like 4 amps?

I just want to make sure I don't under do it ...

Pretty much any wire will work.

the one wire will turn on as many amps that can fit in your car....

But a relay wouldn't hurt. It would **** to burn up that output.
