Amp trouble?

ok so i have a pg octane R:8 04 amp. it does about 75 x 4 @4 ohm which was nice for bi amping my comps. I used to have boston acoustics sl 65 comps and i recently boughtboston pro 60s. I just installed them today the exact same way i had my old ones and the sound cuts out. I noticed my octane amp was a little hot..so i am thinking the amp can't take the 3 ohm load? The music cuts out at volume 10, an i normally listen to music around 20. And the gains were compeltly down. So....is my problem the amp or faulty comps? Thanks for the help.

Oh yea..if its the amp...what four channel amp would you suggest for boston pro 60s?
