They are both overrated amplifiers and I would be willing to bet that the difference between the two will be inaudible.

Why don't you ask if you can hook it up first. If it pushes it better, then trade.

b/c i dont need as much power to push my 4 10's, i used to own these exact subs he has, and i am just trying to help him out lol. that and he could hook em up and see whats up with it.

I still say any perceived difference is psychoacoustics because the power output difference between the two is NOT enough to matter!
