I am in the market for a new amplifier. I posted here earlier without my sub specs. Here they are. I will be looking for an amp that will push 3 JL Audio 10W6's that are dual voice coil, 6ohm, 300watt speakers. These are the amps I have been contemplating : JBL 1200.1, Audiobahn A8001D, Kicker 600.1, or MA Audio SY5011DX. If anyone has any suggestions for me on what amp to go with any input would be appreciated. Thanks.

DANG HAVING THREE OF THESE BABIES

U'R EITHER GETTING 4OHM LOAD OR 1OHM LOAD

UMMMM SO U NEED EITHER 1OHM STABLE AMP OR 4OHM AMP

NEED SOMETHIN AROUND 900 WATTS RMS

GOOD LUCK FINDING AN AMP THAT IS GONNA BE CHEAP PUTTING OUT THAT MANY WATTS AT 4OHMS

BEST BET,

GET SAME AMP I GOT

HIFONICS Z1000D...

1000 WATTS @ 1OHM

FOR LIKE 275 ON EBAY

IT NEVER CUTS OFF, CYA

When you say the JBL 1200.1 pushing 3 JL6's your joking right? I hope you don't do that, because 3 JL6s are so powerful they could kill someone. I would hate to see 1000$ of Subs wasted on 1 little, but quality to a point, JBL 1200.1. I would recommend A soundstream Tarantula even a Rubicon would work or a Orion of any sort.

how did u figure 1 or 4ohm when he has (3) dual 6 ohm subs?//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

The JBL 1200.1 will be just perfect... wire the 3 W6's down to 1 ohm and you will get about 1400watts RMS...

Just right for your JL's, each will get 466 watts RMS...

I spoke to a few guys in a elite car audio chat room and they said the JBL1200.1 will over power my w6's. Even with the gain turned all the way down. These can take a max of 300 watts per speaker.

funny they say that... the rms of them are 300 watts. not the max.....

the subs can handle up to 600 watts max... so you have nothing to worry about really, just make sure the subs are in a sealed enc. and that u have amp tuned!
