amp suggestion for one 12" sub (sundown or skar)

Hey guys I'm almost decided on what subwoofer I want

either the sundown sa 12 or skar vvx 12 at d4

Now I'm not sure what amp to get or at how many ohms to run this setup?

What would you guys recommend?

go dual 2 so you can get a 1 ohm load ,then a dc 1.2 1200 watts rms

I'm actually looking for an amp that isn't too expensive something up to $200 even a used one

I've checked out DCs website and those amps are crazy expensive, must be really good though!!

expensive doesnt always mean good, im not saying they are not but there is a difference in value and cost. most retail equipment is marked up significantly,

Honestly you don't need more than than 600watts on the Skar 12"

I'm running a Hifonics Brutus 600d old school on my Skar 12" dual 2ohm , pushing 600watts at 1ohm

bangs like a fsker all day long. I'll get around to a Little Vid of it this week and post up

actually the smaller dc amp are price pretty decent ,its the bigger ones that are expensive.but really you get what you pay for .all the dc amps are underrated ,just like sundown,dd,sd,stetsom ,cactus,ia ab etc....

you could always snag a mb quart onyx 1500.1 get the d4 sub and run it at 2 ohm. that will also give you the ability to get another sub and drop it down to 1 ohm later if you wanted to.

The newer HF or whatever they are, aren't as good as the old school brutus's even the newer brutus isn't as good.

as to why I added Old School models lol..... I've had a few Hifonics all Brutus's tho. For a Daily i'm not spending 500+ on an amp when, where I live they steal Boss and Sony Xplod subs out of cars to put on Craigslist for 100-200$...

When I do my project truck "getting this week moved to my brothers shop" I will be broke with all the **** I have planned for it lol...
