Amp suggestion - Class D mono - 700 - 800W @ 2ohms - around $150

pioneer 8601 tested to do rated power can get the cheap too (no subsonic filter, not good if u have prefab ported box).. soundqubed s1-850 $149..

Alpine pdr-m65 will fo right around 750 at 2ohm

Jbl gtx500 will do that kind of power at 2 ohms. $99 at Crutchfield

Is the GTX500 severely underrated? 750w is peak power. Rated RMS is 500W at 2 ohms

The 8601 only does 800 at 1 ohm. Still impressive for the price. Actually looking at the S1-1250.

crap yeah need power at 2 ohm huh.. if u don't have ported box get pioneer 1200 it tested 800 @ 2ohm..

yeah they are.. but it maybe old model just make sure u get same one in video (be great to get used one for like $50).. this is our guys utube channel where he test amps

Yes its underrated. Check out the video BG posted. For the price, it is a great choice. Thinking about getting one for my wife's car.

I highly doubt JBL changed anything on the amp. They are a great company that won't f over consumers by changing something to squeeze out every last cent.

That's kinda why I recommended the GTX and not the GTO

So here's what I found.... (minus the JBL, BoominGrandpa gets that credit). Stock electrical is 150A alternator with Big 3 already done. Is there any reason I should choose any of the others over the JBL? At that price point it seems too good to pass up, however also appears it does not have a subsonic filter.

DUDE GET THAT PPI BEFORE IT'S GONE.. I KNOW 3 PEEPS LOOKING FOR THOSE!!! they don't make them anymore i have one (i paid $179).,very strong very tiny amp, tested at 930rms @ 2ohm.. seen used ones selling for more than i paid new..
