Amp Still shuttin Off

alt is stockbattery is yellowtop. i think 1000cold crankin amps

4 gauge wiring. my ground is 6 gauge for some reason.

i set gain by ear. ill redo it
well first thing make sure you switch out the ground to same gauge as pwr wire. and see it that helps. also are u using the bass boost? you dont want to use that.

k. ill do the ground the same as pwr wire.

im usin bass boost. it is at 5 on the amp. out of 18.

shoudl i turn off any bass eq on the head unit?

my amp kit was messed up then.

it came with a 4 gauge power and a 6 gauge ground.

turn off all bass boost. even head unit? and set gain with a dmm right?

i turned subwoofer down on head unit. turned all bass eqs off. and the amp did not shut off. i just did it tonight. so its cool out. idk if that affects it. any inputs?

no shouldnt affect it much the amp is still gonna put out heat no matter wat

if its hot outside then it will just be easier for the amp to shutoff if its getting too hot, so if you play it for a long time and it doesnt shut off then problem fixed

you can run as many subs u want on a mono amp as long as its running at the right ohm load

and also turn your bass boost at zero on the amp and gain at zero and use a test tone and dmm and set the gains like that
