Amp Shuts Off

Whats up guys? First off Im a "NOOB" so please try to take it easy..

The issue I am having is that my amp keeps shutting off when high bass note hits, while my trucks engine is running. If I turn the truck only to ACC, I can play it as loud and the bass can hit as hard as it wants and the amp will never shut off.

This seems kind of weird. Any input is greatly appreciated..

I checked my alternator, voltage holds at 13.8.. I also checked the voltage at the amp and it holds at 13.5.. I can max out my bass and player volume while my truck is on acc and it will never shut down. But as soon as I leave it at the same levels and turn my truck on then it goes into protection mode. IDK

Im using a Hitron Hpa600.2 amp pushing 2- 10inch JL Audio W1's..

What kind of amp? Is there a specific "fault" light that comes on or is it just a basic "protect" indicator?

Edit just saw the info....

One of the reviews on sonicelectronix mentions the protect issue too.
