amp settings for 2 kicker comp 10's(new to subs an amps)

i dont have volt meter but thanks anyways man. it would help alot if someone could just give me an esitmate at least? or tell me if i can turn them up some, frequency is at 40 cause its the lowest amp goess. i have no idea what gain is

we can't help with the gain. but the frequency can be were it sounds the best. Normally around 80 hz. Also make sure you have the low pass filter on. there is normally a switch labeled LP/HP/OFF you want it set to LP for subs. The gain you can play with, but you won't know what you are doing until you have a multi meter. Buy a cheap one that does A/C volts, (I think they all do.) and is digital. Following the instructions linked above will get you where you need to be.

Also did you wire the subs correctly? So the amp sees a load it can handle? If you have any questions about that let us know.

This was my concern when first reading this thread. Comps only come in SVC4 (I think), in which case bridging the amp, he'd have to wire to 8 ohms, unless trying to push below the 4 ohm stable limit.

im not sure how to wire it correctly, all i have is positive annegative hooked up. they still bang really loud? so can someone tell me how to wire it correctly. amp is bridged also

Don't take this the wrong way, but how do you know it's bridged if you don't know how to wire? Best bet for now IMO, is to run at 4 ohms on two separate channels (still not ideal), but probably better than running it bridged on one channel if you don't know what impedance it's wired to. If running bridged, you can not wire like this:

but can wire like this:

but you'll get less power at 8 ohms. You really just need a new amp.

the guy i bought it from told me it was so honestly idk if he was lying or not. i dont really have money for an amp right now? hwats worse that can happen? i have had it hooked up like this for about 2 months and had no problems and subs hit really hard..
