Amp(s) for (2) 18" MT dual 1.4 ohm coils.

You could probably get the single MT louder with the right power, than two half-assed powered MTs.
I had 2500+ going to my 1 18" for a while and I dont really want to put too much more to the one sub for daily music, so IMO I kind of reached the limits with that 1 sub setup. Plus I just want to do 2. In my personal experience (not saying that it is a fact), cone area > power.

What is your enclosure like?

They can handle upwards of 4kw all day long, I wouldnt worry about hurting that beast.

Right now it is in ~7.5 cubes tuned somewhere in the 30's sub to the side port back, double MDF on the face, bracing everywhere, rounded port corners, etc...

Sub to the side? In an SUV?

How much port area do you have? I would do ~150 sq inches with 9 cubes net, and your 2500w you have.

See how you like that, sub up and port back //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

He said an amp fried, and he no longer had 2500W

Oh, didnt see that.
Well get yourself a new amp, stick with the single sub, and save a few hundred. Maybe upgrade the electrical a bit more?
No, screw that, that's illogical.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I tried 8.2 cubes @ 32hz, sub up port up, and it wasnt much different just hit lower bass better.

Anyway the amp(s) will come first anyway, so I will get around 3k and try a bigger box first before I buy the 2nd MT I suppose, but knowing myself i will probably get the 2nd MT anyway.

You might surprise yourself with the one sub setup, if you do it correctly.
