Hey I was just wondering if this is normal. I usually play my 2 Pioneer Premier 2000SPL subs pretty loud after school during the 10 minute drive home, head unit turned 2/3 up with bass equalizer up. My gains are set at 1/4 and bass boost at about 6 db.
When I got into the garage I felt it to see how hot it really was and although it wouldnt burn my hand or anything, it was pretty dang hot, enough for me to say whoa!... thats hot.
The amp is an older Crunch Drive Series V600, claims 1000 wrms bridged, which I am running. I THINK its a class D but I could be wrong. It's in my tire hatch but its pretty big so I dont think ventillation is too big a problem.
Anyway, I was just wondering if this was pretty normal and if I should be concerned. I've never had it go into protect mode. Could it be a grounding problem or something else i'm not aware of?
