Amp recommendations

Hey guys. Kind of stumped, and I'm getting overloaded from all the info I've read across the web, so I've come to you guys to help.

My amp just died on me after 7 years, it was a California Profile 600m. Bought it not really knowing what I was buying. But now as I read, I can't just buy a random amp, but I'm still not sure what to get.

I'm not asking for a specific amp recommendation, although if you have one, that's great. What I'm really wanting to know is what specs to look for when amp shopping(ohms, channels, watts?). To help with picking an amp, I know you need sub specs. Well, I've got 2 12" Kicker CompVR's in a sealed box. Now, these subs are also 7 years old, so I'm not 100% sure on how what their exact specs are. I know they're old subs, but they still hit **** hard.

I really appreciate any advice you guys have for me. My brain is fried from information overload.

What's your budget?

those subs take 300w RMS, btw.

and AQ750 or the Skar SK-800.1

those are both 200-300 dollars amps, if you're looking for something cheaper, I'd check out MBQuart or Audio Pipe.

Budget...$150 max

But I'm getting a bonus from work, just don't know when, so that budget will go WAY up lol

it needs too for you to not get stuck with another cheap amp.just wait til you get your bonus then buy one .i'm always on here and i always heve amps and subs for sale.all new with warranties

Look for an amp that's stable at 1 ohm - that might provide some more flexibility in your next install when your current subs go belly-up. The Kenwood KAC-9105d is a great amp that puts out 450w @4 ohms, 900w @ 2 ohms, and >900w @ 1 ohm. You could wire your subs at 2 or 1 ohm and run them off of a KAC-9105d. They're great reliable amps, and they won't run you $250 like a lot of almost 1kW amps will.

they are not great amps, they are junk amps .dont spend your cash on this .bad advice here

for 1 it doesn't put out a clean 900 watts ,not even close.i've been in the car audio world longer than you have prolly been alive and have installed these amps many time,s because that what my customer had already bought.and 2 $150 just won't get a decent mono block amp, sorry to tell you.and 3 kenwood hasn't made a decent amp since the 80's,any one who knows car audio well [not noobish] will tell you the same
