Amp RCA problem

Installed my MM3000 yesterday and when I only have one RCA plugged in it is significantly louder than with both of them in. Also when I only have one in and it is being played over volume 20 for a short period of time it will go into protect mode, but alls I have to do is shut the car off and let the amp reset.

Anyone know how to fix this problem?

Actually, to reset the amp you just have to turn your HU off. Most, if not all HUs, have a power off function. Mine does.

But I don't know about the RCA problem.
