amp rca prob

my rca jacks broke off my amp and i had to solder them back on but they are not fuctioning correctly. on channel gets nothing. the other is crazy. it makes a loud noise and the right vu meter jumps till bout half way. if i move the low pass knob the vu meter folow it. when i turn thegain up the vu u meter goes up until the gain is about 3/4 way up then it goes all the way down and the left one will come on. if the gain is all the way down the left vumeter will be all the way down but the right will be in the middle and will jump for no reason. they broke because i did not have the panel on amp and my brother pulled the rca cable kinda hard trying to remove them. help plz

Wht amp is it? It might be time to upgrade.

ill take pic later in the morning. the amp was fine. i did get one rca to work but it had to redo it trying to get the other to now and now this is where i am. amp was fine. wasnt used. just was setting in house

possible... if u got solder where u shouldnt have...

solder is just where rca pins are. 1 channel was working

ok. have pics. i worked on it yesterday. and now when i try to plug in a rca it sparks on both channels. what causes that?

anyone there? it doesnt spark on both channels when i hook it up just on the one the rca touches
