Hey, all. I've just been granted access to the high school shop, so I want to take full advantage of it. I'm going to be making an enclosure as a class project, but I also remembered that I'm gonna need an amp rack and battery box if I really want to make this install look clean.
My car is an '04 Grand Prix, and I want to find a way to either mount the amp to the side of the trunk, or mount it at an angle against the enclosure. Either way, I'm going to need some ideas (how to do it, what kind of wood to use), or even a design, on how to build a nice amp rack that I can wrap some carpet around. It'll be for a BC2000 (16"L x 2.75"H x 9.5"W (at widest point). All input is appreciated.
Like I said, I'm also going to want a battery box to keep it looking nice. I was considering making this out of wood, but a friend suggested making that one in metals next semester. Which do you guys think would look cleaner? It's probably just going to be a simple box with a slide top and holes in the side, so I guess I'm just wondering which would look nicer.
Thanks guys!
