i did my first custom install this weekend......i made an amp rack for my 2 amps, crossover, and ground distro block...and i gotta say it looks **** good...i hope to get some pics up this weekend.....my next custom job will be a housing unit for my floor mounted screen...

no i added carpet...feet on the bottom of the wood to make it sit at an angle....drilled holes...

I think it would look awesome if you put a baffle board across everything so all you saw was the top of the amps and not all the wires and stuff. That why you'd have a really clean install.

It's just a "fake floor" that goes over the amps and hides all the wires. All you do is cut out a section of the board so that just the top of the amp is shown. i'll try and find a pic of one.

Well, you can make it out of pretty much any sheet of wood. I don't think it matters if it's MDF or not. You could probably use 5/8" particle board.

what about as far as covering it..can i use the same carpet that i used for the wood...or should i use something else...
