So i posted a thread asking about current PPI amps and decided they werent all i had thought. So my next question is about soundstream, how are they? I have read three reviews through a SEARCH but would like to know more...

I want to do 1600-2000 rms @ 1ohm. spl oriented

It doesn't have to be soundstream anything RELIABLE in the $350 to $450 range...

PPI is okay, but I don't know if they have one in the power range you are looking for.

Soundstream is not what it used to be, owned by power Acoustic now. They can be okay, however, I just don't see the lower lines being great values. But, some of the low and middle lines have the terminals all on one side, that is a nice feature... and they are supposed to have a new Reference series out any time now... build quality and features might be real good for the money on those, we'll have to wait and see as they become available.

I'd look at MTX if I were buying today... there are some deals on closeouts out there right now.
