amp question

first off i know its an audiobahn amp to begin with but dont worry i dont think its going to be permanent. I have an audiobahn a1500hct right now it does 2000 watts at 1 ohm and i am looking to get a amp that is the same brand as my subs (mtx) so i was looking at either the TA92001 or the TA81001 the 92001 does 3000 watts at 1 ohm and the 81001 does 1500 but i have heard and seen that they are really underrated amps so what my question is what do you guys thing of the 3 amps and what would be a good one to get if the audiobahn isnt a permanent fixture

What subs is the amp powering? If you want to go cheap route, get a used 1501D MTX amp off Ebay

They are underrated, badass amps

the amps are going to be powering two mtx 9512's dual 4 ohms, i have thought about the 1501d's are they strapable or do i have to have two runs of power wire to them?

I would rather have a single amp that puts out a high amount of power than two smaller ones, just less to worry about and deal with IMO. I do not think the 1501's are strappable, dont quote me on that though, I am not positive. Are you sure you want to go with MTX? There is so much more out there..

Also, have you upgraded/though about your electrical system?

pretty sure on the mtx amps and yeah i wanted to keep a single amp but i am open to some new ideas money isnt really a huge issue but i dotn want to spend like 2500 bux on a zapco 9.0 or something and as far as the electrical im working on that right now. The usual big 3 and new alt alreayd have two yellow tops

well, chances are ur audibahn isnt really doing 2000 rms continues, so in the case, i recommend just buying one 81001, i have one pushing a t9515 44, and it hits hard, 1749 rms at 1ohm, so, there ya go
