amp problems need help

i just wired up amp and it wouldn’t power on no lights or anything. so i checked my power it’s had 12v going to it. tried many different places for ground to see if it was the problems and it wasn’t my grounds were good. my fuses are all good. i connected me remote wire from head unit to amp twice in case that was the problem but didn’t help and my amp tested good. i just took this amp out of my old truck and it worked fine in it only was in there for a couple months so it’s not old and worn. i don’t know anything else to check my only guess is remote wire is bad or my head unit remote wire is bad. thanks in advance for the help

A quick test would be to take a small length of wire and tap into the positive input of the amp and go straight to the remote input. It should power up if you have good power, good ground, and a good amp.

ill try that tomorrow thanks. also if it does power up so my remote wire is bad is what your saying and how would i end up fixing?

may need to get switch power from a fuse in fuse box..

What's the HU and amp? Brand, model #?

head unit is a pioneer MVH-AV290BT and then amp is a pioneer GM D8601 and 2 12” kenwood kfc w12ps
