AMP problems help please!!!

ok i have two 10" diamond audio d6's d4 ohms, powered by a 2 channel kenwood kac7203 1000w amp. my problem is that when ever i keep the music on for say 5-10 minutes, the amp gets very hot like hot enough as to where i cant keep my hand on it for more than a second. why is this happening? i have heard that kenwood amps are garbage is this why? maybe not enough airflow or am i trying to run too much power through the amp.

info on amp:

RMS Power @ 4 Ohms (Bridged): 500 watts x 1

please someone help me out and maybe someone could reccomend a cheap amp that will work in the meantime while i build up funds to buy a quality one. or should i get another and run both subs to their own amps.

the heatsink is doing its job. absorbing heat. your gains could also be incorrectly set

what is a heatsink? and ive looked, but it doesnt seem to have a gain controll on it. it has low pas freq, high freq bass boost and something else but it doesnt say gain. i want to say equilizer maybe?

yea man like i didnt have a problem when i ran two cvr's on it but they require a lot less power. i have no clue bro

Yeah, the amp is working to hard for those subs it seems...

howm do you have the subs wired to the amp?

might be trying to tun them at a lower than allowed ohm load.

I was gonna say the same, but dual 4 subs. they are either 8 ohm or 2 ohm per channel

unless hes running it bridged@1 ohm then that would explain the heat......should be blowing fuses tho....
