Amp powered on when its not supposed to?

My car was off, headunit wasnt it. I plugged in the power wire to the amp, and it flashed on for a second. Its a Hifonics 1606. Isnt it supposed to only go on when HU is on? Could this be draining my battery?

is the amp on all the time? if so, find a source of swithced power or just use the amp lead on the hu if it has one.

1-you're saying your car was off but your deck wasnt? did you have it on ACC?

2-was your remote wire touching the power wire?

my hifonics amp stays on when the HU is off its weird.. i think it stayed on even when my fuse on my power wire was out

I dont think the amp is on all the time. I dont see the blue lights on. remote wire is taped onto the power wire but the ends arent touching

When you inserted the power wire, a few threads of copper probably brushed against the remote turn on Input.

Maybe there was still some juice in my electrical system? The amp only flashed on for a second
