I thought about that but I unplugged the RCAs and the amp still popped. However like I said its makin my mids and highs pop too so it is obvisouly sending the popping sound out the sub speaker wire and the RCA outputs.Could it be your RCA's?
I'm definately not going to get rid of it. If worst comes to worse I will just send it in to kicker.hey man, before u get rid of that thing, met up with me and ill take a look at it.. if i can figure out what the problem is with the amp, my dad can fix it. we r both good with electronics.
I just took the remote wire out of the kx2500 so they subs wouldn't be poppin. Then the RCA output still works with the kx2500 turned off.Flip the order in which you transmit the signal for now. You said that you used the sub amp's RCA outs. Use the component/4-channel's output into the sub amp. That should take away the popping from the door speakers.
No. none of the lights flicker or dim. the power light stays on. There is just a clicking sound inside the amp. Its not really all that loud. You have to put your ear down by the amp to hear it. But it makes the clicking sound the same time the subs and speakers are popping.how can an amp pop...is it a sound or does the light flicker??
Just wanted to let you know that the amp is NOT blown. I took it apart yesterday to see if I could see anything wrong with it. Come to find out there was a single TINY piece of wire (speaker wire i believe) that was was touching two different transistors. I guess the wire fell in the vent on the top of the amp where the fan is. So of course I just removed the small piece of wire and it works fine now.because it obviously isYou are always sayin that my amp is blown and offerin me money for it.
