Amp or Headunit Crossovers

Hi, I got a new setup and just wanted to know what settings would be the best. I have the following:

RF P325.1 / eD 11kv.2

JL Audio 300/2 / PG RSD65cs

Pioneer 4900iB

I don't see why you can select HP and LP filters on the head unit AND the amp. If I'm running amps is it pointless to use the head unit filters? Or should I set the amps to fullrange and use the head unit? This is just strange and I want to get it right so I'm not missing frequencies.

My settings now are:

RF P325.1, LP, ~80Hz on both amp/hu (sub)

JL 300/2, HP, 75hz, only on amp (comps)

It is my opinion that the crossovers on the HU are far better than the crossovers on the amp.

In my active setup I a/b'd the same settings (or close as I could get) and there is a great difference between the two.

In effect, use the ones on your HU and turn the crossovers on your amps off. If I ever built my own amp, it wouldn't have any crossovers at all.
