Amp Not Powering On After New HU Install

I switched out my head units today - a swap from a Pioneer 860mp to a Pioneer 780mp. Since the harnesses were the same, I did not disconnect the battery. When I got everything all plugged back in, the HU works perfectly, but now my front amp is not getting power. It's not in protection mode, there is just no power //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif I tried disconnecting and re-connecting the battery, and I checked to ensure that the remote turn on was properly connected. All connections on the harness are good. I tried disconnecting the RCA's and I turned the gains all the way down. No go.

Any ideas? Maybe a blown fuse? What can I do to test?

You sure the harnesses are exactly the same? My guess would be the remote is different pin on the new HU.

First things to check

-remote wire voltage @ headunit

-remote wire voltage @ amp

-power wire voltage @ battery

-power wire voltage @ amp

Ditto. Check Power wire voltage compared to the ground terminal and then to a ground of the car. They should be exactly the same.

Thanks for the help! I checked the harnesses pretty carefully and after a lot of frustration I found that the scotch lock I used to tap the ACC wire was ever so slightly loose. It was a little weird because I got power to one side after I took the fuses out of the amp to test and re-installed after they were both showing continuity.

So I think there were two issues... Anyhow, I am hooked up [somewhat] reliably and everything seems to be working now that it's all put back together - phew...

I always make a crazy mess when i solder - guess that's the beauty of practice, but I don't get much time for this stuff...
