Just make sure the rca you get are well shielded, other than that there isn't much of a difference other than the color of the wires or the little extras you get with kit.

Head unit 1 output rcas, to 5 channel amp, LOC or 1 set off HU
It would also be easy to add an equalizer to have individual rca inputs for all of the channels. A decent one can be had for less than $40...
