Amp kill switch help. 4 Pin Rocker?

I have this 4 pin rocker. Red Light Lamp 4 Pin DPST ON-OFF Rocker Boat Switch 13A/250V 20A/125V - US$1.40

Can i use it for an amp toggle switch? What is the 4th pin for? Can I just put it inline. Put memory from deck to pin one, memory from amp to pin 2 and ground to pin 3 for the light? leaving the 4th pin alone? Or should I go find a 2 pin rocker

No reason why you couldn't. It's not really the best use for that particular switch, but it's not going to harm anything.

I always used a switch to control a relay for the amp, but thats a personal decision.

Also, the switch itself should have a wiring diagram embossed on it telling you how to hook it up. Looking at the page you posted, it would appear that the switch doesn't have a ground, just 2 inputs, 2 outputs.

A standard SPST (or 2 pin as you say) would be more appropriate.

I agree with the previous poster. Use the 2 pin switch. that's what I used in my setup.
