ok, if i turn it up pritty loud after like 4 min's the amp shuts off then if you wait a min or 2 and turn it back on its fine untill you turn it up loud again. all the settings are set right and i'm getting 13.9 volts to it, is that to low? oh and it seems like if you use the bassboost it shut off even faster.

it could either be you'r rca cables or the rca imputs on the amp......try 1 rca at a time to see if it clips....or change them completly.......if thats not the problem make sure the speakers are not wired lower than 2 ohms...

i used to have a srry soundstrom amp 1600watts that would it just that and it could push two audiobahn with 400wrms.

well there brand new rca cables (rockfordfosgate).

so it must be wire to lower then 2 ohms?

i'm almost 100% sure that its wired to 2 ohms thoe.

any other things it could be?

Heat dissipation is definitely the issue here. Where is the amplifier installed? On or two 12V fans can do wonders.

i also agree its the heat. maybe your gain settings are wrong and youre overloading the amp.

yea atleast try to mount the amp vertical. I would add a fan though.

well next time you are driving or whatever and the amp shuts off stop and feel the amp.

if it is really hot then that is most likely your problem.

i would check your gains and set them acording to the sticky.
