amp keep blowing fuses

what happens us i unhook my battery and then change the fuse but as soon as the battery terminal touch's the battery sparks and well pop
Have you checked your wiring at all? This is due to a short of some kind. Like the previous poster said, unhook the power lead from the amp and tape it so there is no exposed metal. THEN replace the fuse. If it pops this time, your power wire is grounded and you need to find where and fix it. If it doesn't blow, your amp is probably blown.

Check the wiring. Sounds like your power wire is touching ground somewhere.

In HS I installed a system for a friend in a STD cab truck and I had the power and ground switched on the amp. Everytime I would slip a fuse in it would pop. I then realized that the amp was facing the opposite direction that I am used to since it wasn't in a trunk. It was hard to read the labeling behind the seat. After we swapped the wires it was fine.

thanks for the relpys guys i was waiting until Thursday my day off to check every thing i almost guarantee if its a short in the power wire its because i was a lazy piece of shit and ran it through my fender
