Amp Issues???

I hooked up my Alpine MRP -M500. It worked for a couple of days then cut off. Amp stayed on but no sound. Checked the fuses, Passed Voltage tests, Re-Grounded it and nothing. Since I bought the amp on eBay, I thought it was the amp. I took out the fuse near the battery for safety precautions. I found someone locally selling theirs. So I re-installed my fuse back and my amp starting working again. Only for a couple of days till it cut out again. Mind you, I dont put my music loud. Loudest I put it was 10-11. This amp will turn on unexpectedly, then cut off. Any Ideas will be appreciated, before I get it looked at professionally.

If its in protect mode? How do I get it off and why is it going into protection?

Based on comments and questions alone.. get it inspected..

That amp is rated @2ohms mono..Are you sure you are setting at 2 ohms with the sub you have?
