Amp is not turning on, everything seems to be checking out though.

Alright so I feel like I know enough about car audio and have even done several other installs in the past. However, my amp is not turning on and I cannont figure out why.

Ive double checked the remote wire and am positive it is hooked up correctly. I am running 4 gauge to a distro (will be running 2 amps in the near future) 4 in 8 out. I removed the 4 and 8 and touched them together and still nothing. A buddy has my multimeter so I am going to check and make sure the run from the batt to the distro is hot.

Could a bad ground prevent the amp from turning on? Also I have the 4 gauge run fused under the hood as well as a fused distro. Could that be a reason for this?

Any input is appreciated. Will be continuing this tomorrow.

Thanks
