amp is clipping

So I have a yamaha rhino and I put an amp and 2 6x9's in it. Anyway, while jumping it the amp fell out and blew. I put a new pyle marine amp in it but now I get no sound out of it. So when I start the rhino, itll work but the sound goes in and out if I turn it up past half way. Turn it off and itll slowly fade out. I tested the speakers and got 3.4 ohms out of them both.

I bolded the biggest problem... Also your problem isnt clipping thats a whole other issue... Im betting you broke something internally in the ampfrom it being bounced around however... I would come up with some way to mount your amp to absorb the shock of jumping and trail riding...

No. I had a kicker amp before that blew. This amp is brand new and might be bad.

Well like I said this is just going to keep happening unless you can find a way to mount it to cut down on the vibrations...

I understand its a cheap amp but Im not going to put a nice amp in something like this. It had great reviews too.

doubt it. got it refurbed from amazon. I just want to see if its the amp or speakers.

Its probably the amp... Unless it hooked up to a headunit as well?

No head unit. I use an ipod.
