amp installation location

my initial idea/design was to mount the amp on top of the enclosure. read some places were that is a bad idea due to vibration and could damage the amp. i really don't want to mount the amp any other place. i wanted to keep it out of site. would rubber isolators help/work.

In my former truck I had my JL Audio Slash 500/1 amp mounted directly to my sub enclosure using rubber mounting feet. Never had a problem.

Yeah I have seen some people mount their amps directly to their subs boxes but that is a bad idea because it will wear out on the amp's internals from the vibrations. It will also cause distortion. I recommend mounting it the back of your back seat. That way it will be away from your enclosure.

actually it isn't my car. i am putting this in my niece's car. she owns a 2002 cavalier. i have 2 powerbass M-10D in a sealed enclosure.
