Amp installation kit 1000w

I read the sticky wire guide and I have a question, will this kit http://www.knukonceptz.com/productDetail.cfm?prodID=KOL-AK4 work perfectly for my 15" Kicker CVX 1000w RMS 4ohm dvc and Kicker ZX1000.1 Mono 1000wRMS amp?

Also, about grounding the amp, would it be best to ground to the car chassis or would it be best to ground the amp to the car battery ground?

that should be fine, its fine to just ground to the chassis. if ur wiring this all to a stock Headunit u might have to get a LOC.

As far as where to ground, it is best to keep the ground cable under 3 feet in length. You'll find that knukonceptz supplies you with around 3 feet of ground cable, and this is why. It would be in your best interest to ground it to your chassis. Just make sure you use a wire brush or something like that to scrape off the paint so it's bare metal contact.

i've always known to keep the grounds as short as possible as well, but never known exactly 'why'. anyone care to explain?
