I have heard that you are not supposed to mount amps upside down is this true or not here is what I have and I also have a squirel cage fan mounted under there with the amps

the amps are designed to give off heat right side up... they may not cool properly or as efficiently mounted upside down like that... you might be able to get away with it if you've got a fan moving hot air away from them... just might want to check on them and make sure they dont get too hot when you're using them hard.

 
Thing is, heat rises. You need a couple inches above the amp for the heat to dissapate. Especially if they are upside down. Mount them on a board with the middle cut out + use a fan.
