Amp install help

whats up everybody im new to this forum in fact i believe this my first time posting on here, but anyway i hooked all my wires up to my amp remote, ground,power, and rca and my amp wont come on so i thought it was the remote wire and changed that but still nuthin and i cant get a spark either. i rubbed my remote wire on my power to see if it spark but it had no spark but when i put the remote wire back in its right spot the green light popped on for a sec and went off. All my fuses are still good so i really dont kno and i dont kno that much about car audio so i need some help!!!!!!!!!!!!

sometimes some amps dont turn on when RCA's are bad or bad grounds also....

Make sure you have solid connections for your grounds. You ground wire should be secured at the amp and secured to bare metal, stripped of any paint, you want metal not paint, and a terminal on the end of the wire to secure the wire to your bare metal ground location. Use a a nut and bolt to secure it against the clean metal or screw just make sure it is secure.

Little tip, since you say you don't know much about car audio, don't be touching wires to other wires sparks are not usually good, they happen normally with some connections, but be careful, you could damage your equipment, electrical, what have you or seriously injure yourself.

well the ground is really secure so ima check if the ground is on pure metal not paint im not sure about that but i think it is because its in the same place as it was before when it was working so ima check the rca wires to i have an extra pair. o i should tell yall the last time it was working the speakers started smoking then the amp turned off

i'd open up the amp and check the guts. probably blown.

if it was blown wouldnt the fuse mess up first

Could or couldn't, depends on what is blown.

Open the case of the amp and inspect for any black/charred marks.
