**Sorry for the long post, but I am trying to give as much information as possible**
Hey everyone, my amp went in to protect mode and it won't come out and I can't think of anything else to try.
It is a 50x4, and I am powering two 5.25" and two 6x9" speakers with it. All the speakers are 4 ohms each, and I have the gains at about 3/4. I was listening to music at a relatively low level, and the amp just went into protect mode. I have checked both fuses on the amp and the fuse on the power wire. I shortened my ground wire to about a foot and a half, and I know it is not my ground location because my sub amp is grounded to the same bolt, and it is still working perfectly. I detached the speaker wires one by one, but now none of them are connected to the amp and it still won't come out of protect.
Its strange though, no blown fuses, no smoke, and it was working fine when it used to just be pushing the 5.25"s, but i hooked the other two channels up to the 6x9"s and it played for a day and then quit. But its not the 6x9"s because I disconnected them and the amp still doesn't work.
The only other thing I can think of is maybe my ground wire is to high of a gauge, it is 9ga and seems pretty thin.
