I hooked my system up a while ago and it sounded good. Then my rockford fosgate prime 300-4 started flashing power and protect and making the speakers pop. After i fixed it started doing it again and it wouldnt shut off when i turned the car off. There is nothing wrong with the wiring because i tried 2 other amps and they both shut off when the car went off. I really dont know what to do at this point.

Yeah, put the probes on the power wire and ground wire of the amplifier. Multimeter on DC. Do not put it on the wires that go to your speakers. M

That is correct. I like these as they are twisted pair and the RCA ends are thick and grip quite nicely...
