I Am New To The Car Sterio Of Today. The Last Car Audio I Installed Was When I Changed The 8-track Out For A Cassette Player In My '70 Malibu!

Now I Need Some Help. My Son And I Are Installing A New System In His Car. He Bought A Amp And Subs At A Pawn Shop, The Amp Was A 4- Channel 1000 Watt. The Subs Are Mtx Tr75, 1000w 500 Rms, Dual 2 Ohm. We Decided That The Amp Was Not The Best Amp For The Subs, What Would Be The Best Amp, Power, Ohm..........

What to look for:

- 1,000 watts rms x1 @ 2 ohms

- 500 watts rms x2 @ 4 ohms

- 1,000 watts rms x1 @ .5 ohms

- a pair of amplifiers rated for 500 watts rms x1 @ 1 ohm

MTX thunder 1501d would work nicely....its rated at 1k @ 2 ohms.
