Hey all ... I havea problem. My amp keep shutting off everytime i turn the volume or bass up, or it hits a large deep bass note. It can play on low volume on low bass. Anyone got any ideas? It didnt do this for the longest time, and it started up again.

The impedance level is fine ... each sub is wired into a 4 ohm load (dual 2 ohm in series) and bridged at the amp into one channel ... and the amp is going into protect mode. The ground is clean and fine, i have one grounded to the chassis as well as to the battery.

Okay if its bridged to 2 ohms thats most likely your problem. Dont quote me on this but most amps arent stable below 4 ohms bridged. try hooking it up to each channel, it will be weak, but it will determine whether or not its something stupid. If i misunderstood your explaination on the wiring correct me.

try checking cables....

wild guess - ohm load drops too low causes amp to f* up?

who knows

try turning ur gain down and/or bass boost too

Dont tinker too much, know what ur doing before, it sounds like u got it wired right but for some unforsaken u have it wrong ur pretty much screwed, u can **** an amp up real fast that way, lay off the bass boost a little too. Try relocating your amp maybe its just over heating. Sounds like u got two subs but u gotta remember the more subs on one amp the hotter that ***** gets

I had this same amp installed about 9 months ago with no issues whatsoever which make all this odd

Yeah, put the probes on the power wire and ground wire of the amplifier. Multimeter on DC. Do not put it on the wires that go to your speakers. M
