You are looking for "guts", which this Digital Design amp has. I have seen guys buy a 4 foot amp, and have a foot of board in it. Try the website below for any questions!

i think he knows to look at the guts, what hes asking is what is it on the guts that makes amp A better than amp B...

seriously? even sony will hype up and try to convince you that their xplod 4000 watt amp is better than anything else on the market.

try calling a company and ask their customer service about the specs on their amps.... see how far you get.

OP, bump this thread during the afternoon and youll find plenty of people that will help you out.

there will be some technical information there that can help.

Output transformers, capacitors..in the order you asked.

For your most basic practical needs, you won't need to know this. The most clean power on a dollar to watt basis will do just fine. Any reputable amp will have an inaudible difference to the next if the power ratings are the same.

Torrids,FETs,capacitors,IC's are all things that are in amps and can vary.It can also be the quality of the parts used that make the differance.Size doesn't always matter.
