Amp ground or Rca ground issues?

So I decided to up my ground wire to 2 ga tonight (to replace my 4ga),

Same good solid ground in trunk only now with 2 ga, Im now getting a pop when the head unit comes on and terrible engine noise which has been non existant since I installed my RF amp and my pioneer HU

I tried a few diferent ground points with no luck, finally to hook it back exactly the way I had it, STILL with terible Alt whine.

It seems to me it might be a Rca or my pioneer HU grounding issue, but why would it work with this same setup for 3 years then because I removed the amp ground only to replace it exactly the way I had it would it keep whining?

PLEASE HELP

I tried using a piece of wire to ground the outside of the RCA cables to the amp and it reduced the noise greatly.

What then is the best way of grounding Rca cables? should I get a better ground for my HU also?
