Amp going into protect..

This isnt for me, but a buddy of mine has a kicker 600.1 that went into protect all of a sudden. The red light goes from full on, then dims, the green light comes on, then it goes into protect again, does this constantly. Not really sure what it could be, i hooked it up to my ride and it did the same thing, so definately the amp, checked fuses they were good. Not sure what else it might be? Is it fcked?

Ya, i aint touching it. i just thought it might be something simple i could pass along. If he wants someone to open it, he can pay someone else, i am not getting blamed. lol

If it was mine, it would have already been done.

It's f*cked.......my kicker 350.2 did the same thing.

yup, thats about what i told him. I think he is going to take it to someone locally and see if they can fix it. Does Kicker refurb amps for people?

Whatever you do don't send it to kicker.....i sent it to them like 4 times and each time it came back the way i sent it....i eventually took it to a local shop and they fixed it.
