ok well I was just wondering if any of you knew what the prob was ...

my amp gets hot even after playing for a very short time..really hot..

and also the low impedence light comes on..

You answered your own question lol. If the low impedence light is on, thats your problem

yeah sounds like you need to re wire your subs in series or get a new amp

Only ones that dont, are Class D, and theys till get warm.

one of the speakers may be shot...

or you could have a short somewhere along the speaker wires, like my friend did, which resulted in hours of trying different things, with no uniformity to when the problem occured, and then we finally found the problem.. grr
