Amp gets hot

1st question. i recently had a 2 channel kenwood amp and a dual 4ohm kicker compvr sub installed. 1 day checked it out cuz its a refurb amp wanted 2 make sure it was holding up ok so i went and touched it was very hot. im worried that if i keep playing it i will ruin it but if it gets too hot it will cut off right? should i jus leave it alone till tha amp starts cutting off?

2nd question. i think my idiot installer might have wired it at 2 ohm mono and tha amp iz only stable to 2 ohm stereo and 4ohm mono if this iz true wouldnt tha amp have cut off by now? i've had it about 4 days.

How hot is hot? Of course the heatsink is hot //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif. Is the sub bridged? If so is it wired to 2 or 8 ohms?

yea if the amp isnt 2 ohm mono stable, then it would get hot...maybe so hot it will go into thermal protection.
