i have a mtx 2300x getting dusty in my closet and i have the oportunity to get a kicker 15L5.

I think that the amp is up to the task...

what do you think?

It is more than up to the task. You are looking at around 600-750 watts according to input voltage.

With a good electrical system you should have no problem getting AT LEAST 800 watts.

Subs a dual 2 I assume?
