amp fuses blow as soon as amp powers on...

I have a audiobahn a8000t amp and it used to work great! But now all of a sudden it blows its fuses as soon as it powers on. I have 2 of these amps and only 1 of them are doing this. Is there anything I might could do to fix this myself instead of having to get it replaced?

couple questions:

1) are you running both amps at the same time?

2) what size fuse are you running by the battery?

3) what size wire?

I am running everything like it was before when it worked before for several months.

100A fuse by the battery.

The amp had two 30

Something is obviously shorting out ... Find out what's causing the short to fix it ...

Its gotta be the amp. Because I hooked the amp that working and hooked the "broken" amp up just like the working amp was and it blew both of the 30a fuses.

It's the amp.

I helped a friend hook one up and it worked fine for a few hours. I went to set the gain on the amp and when I did, the speaker wires touched a metal piece for about a second before I moved them. The amp powered on fine and wasn't blowing fuses or anything, it was late so we waited until the next day.

The next day it started blowing fuses. We replaced them and ripped out everything, moved the ground wire and it still did it. I hooked up my Orion amp and it was fine. The next day he replaced the fuses again and the amp actually caught on fire in his car. Luckily it didn't get too far before he put it out. He had just bought the amp so he emailed the website he bought it from. He sent the amp back to them and they sent him another new one.
